The Breastfeeding Mother's Trip to the Museum!

Trip to the Museum!

Another look for our breastfeeding mom's! Taking the kiddos to a museum?! Check out the style below for tips!

Before we go into the outfit, our styles almost always have to incorporate three things: 1. Accessibility to nurse/pump 2. Be legitimately comfortable and 3. Almost always, stylish! Let's start by checking off #1: accessibility is almost always guaranteed with our selection of apparel ! With this look, we used the very comfortable Breton Stripe nursing top that will pair great with the yellow blazer jacket to give a nice pop of color. #2: Comfort can vary amongst each one of us, for some very lucky ladies, stilettos and the likes, are super comfortable while other's, prefer flats! In this look, we compromised and decided on wedge heels-the perfect balance! The jeans are really comfortable and loose and can be cropped to a "boyfriend" style look. Lastly, #3: This looks comes together when accessorized with pops of colors like our Nursing Teething Necklace  along with some funky colorful sunglasses, making this outfit completely stylish!

Another tip: You can quickly go from day to night, by changing out the pants to something more form fitting, denim or white pants and a belt, along with nude flats or heels depending on your level of comfort for the night! Until next time, Ciao!

The Breastfeeding Mother-Wedding Guest Edition!

One Dress-Two Styles

Background: I always love to hear feedback from clients, and this post was definitely inspired by one! As wedding season is approaching, I thought it would be good to incorporate a style for the nursing mom!

Styling Tips:  I am sure we have one dress, or more, that we love to wear for almost any occasion or simply around the house. Our Nursing Wrap Dress can definitely be dressed up or down, and in this case, dressed up for the nursing mom attending a wedding as a guest! Below is a great example of dressing up a simple dress with some "bling". Two completely different outfits when paired with either gray or gold accents! The statement necklaces are what really makes the dress stand out, and when paired with heels makes both styles appropriate for attending special occasions! I did not provide a bag, as it depends if you will be accompanied by children: either a black or tan/nude diaper bag will suffice, if not, a clutch with some unique embellishments will be fun and adds texture!

Comment and leave your feedback, would you like to see more for the BF Mother-Wedding Guest Edition?! Until next time ;-)

Stripes and Skirts for The Breastfeeding Mother!

Dressing up your Stripe Nursing Top!

Styling Tip: Remember I mentioned I would show you how to dress up Nursing Novi's must have nursing top?! Here it is below! One amazing tee that is accessible to our breastfeeding moms, and again, two different styles! The style on the right can be done with a pleated maxi skirt like the one shown, paired with shoe boots and topped with a denim jacket. The second look is on the left, a floral skater skirt, not just any floral but big and bold! I love oxford shoes and thought completing the look with nude ones would be a great match, stylish yet comfortable. Why does stripes and floral go together, is beyond me! And finish this style with a cognac crossbody bag! You are probably wondering why I always have jackets...again, I am from the Bay Area and know how crazy the weather can be ;-) Let me know your thoughts! Hasta luego!

The Hip Breastfeeding Mother!!

One outfit... two styles!

Styling Tip: Have a favorite outfit but want to mix it up?! Below is a very casual style, yet stylish, modern and hip! The stripe nursing top  is a must for all my breastfeeding mommies! In another post, I will show you how to dress up this plain top! Going back to this style, you can pair green cargo skinny pants along with your favorite combat boots (black, brown, tan, etc!), booties or even flats! Add some hip-ness (yess..I made it up) with a leather jacket and top the look off with a gray scarf! A second option would be to, switch out the leather jacket with a denim jacket...which you have right?! I put some gladiator sandals with a reasonable size heel, because let's face it, until your children are on auto-pilot you will be running around ;-) Top the look off with our awesome teething necklace for those moms with babies or toddlers...if you don't have one, combine with a gold chunky necklace or a choker...yes it is back!! And you are off..until next time Hasta Pronto!!!

Date Night for the Breastfeeding Mother

Date Night for the Breastfeeding Mother

Date Night is so overrated...or is it?! If you are like me, and are far away from family and long time friends, usually a Date Night involves me, the husband and the kids! Whose to say you still can't be stylish?! Below are two styling tips using our Miller Dresses that come in two colors, and provide two completely different styles!

Look 1: Our Fuchsia Miller Dress is perfect for that special occasion dinner with or without the kiddos! The gold accessories is subtle yet provides some bling, and the dress will pair amazing with navy pumps and a navy purse (if you are on a date with the kids, switch the purse to something bigger)! This look is great for a more classic style. Cheers to you stylish nursing mom!!

Look 2: Our Navy Miller Dress is perfect for those breastfeeding moms that want a little more edge to their wardrobe! Pair with our amazing Organic Cotton shift knit dress that is lightweight (great for Spring/Summer) and top the look with a leather jacket for those cooler nights (living in CA you know what I mean ;-0 ). The leather booties and purse are perfect to complete the look! Lastly, add some boho sterling silver rings to give it more of an edgy look!

Styles for the Breastfeeding Mother!

I have been loving curating styles on Polyvore, while at the same incorporating pieces from my own website! See below for some styling tips based on your style for the day and let
me know if you would like to see more of these in the future!!

"The Breastfeeding Mother On the Go". Dresses are so convenient and for the most part, easy to put on! Our Zoo Coral Print Dress  is made of 95% Bamboo jersey, really great for both Summer and Spring time because of its amazing breathable material, most importantly, provides access for your breastfeeding/pumping needs! The dress can easily pair with thong sandals, like the one shown or you can also pair with ballet flats or dress them up with platform sandals for some added height. A neutral color "diaper bag" or even better, a backpack, is always a plus that can pair with many items. Lastly, don't forget your teething necklace as an accessory piece for you, but entertaining for your little one!

"The Traveling Breastfeeding Mom". For those seldom Momcation's....or the upcoming family road trip for the weekend, this outfit is sure to meet your needs! Our Breton Stripe Dress  , again easy to put on and provides access to all your bf/pumping needs, can pair great with any booties (shoes), and combine with a denim jacket and scarf for those chilly nights! The fedora is a nice added touch, to show that hey, you are stylish and cute mom! Can't forget the backpack (Bloomingdales!), for either your momcation or family trip and use as a diaper bag!

The Traveling Breastfeeding Mother!\

"The New Casual Friday's for the Breastfeeding Mom".  For our BF mother's, who aside from caring for your children at home, are also a working mom by day, this style is a great option! This style easily converts from a work outfit to a" hey it's Friday and we are going out for dinner tonight with the family"! See my obsession with stripes right?! Love this!  Our organic cotton breastfeeding tank top provides access to your bf/pumping needs, and is great for dressing up. Pair with a gray/black/white or navy skirt along with a navy blazer, or like I show you below, fitted skinny mint jeans! A scarf is an added accessory piece and gotta love platform sandals! Ballet flats, stilettos,  or even boots will also pair great! Lastly, a bag in a brown/tan color will suffice!
