Holiday Looks for the Breastfeeding Mother!

'Tis the Season! My favorite time of year! I wanted to go a little non-traditional, and make it colorful for these looks I have put together. As you can see, simple dresses can change when combined with heavy accessories, coats and heels! As always, all these dresses have access for your nursing and pumping needs. As a reminder if you haven't yet, I have always used any family or friend gatherings, as a chance to continue to educate and have discussions about breastfeeding/pumping! Especially when I hear "you are still breastfeeding?".....Happy Holidays and have a safe New Year!

The Nursing Wrap Dress is great for both the pregnant and postpartum mother! The elasticity allows room for your bump, and the wrap look has hidden access to nurse and or pump.

Our Miller dresses, not only are they eco-friendly because they are organic cotton, they are light weight and unique! Accessorize with color starting with a chunky necklace to your purse.

Fall Fashion for the BF Mom!

Fall Fashion for the Breastfeeding Mom

Fall is just around the corner! I know, I know...time goes by fast. Hope your child's back to school week went well, here in my home it was a great success!! Now that we are back on a routine, I've had time to put some styles together for our nursing moms. Let me know what you think!

The Navy and Purple/Fuschia dress we have in our store got me to think of how to style these looks. In a previous post, I made them a little more fun in terms of using the dress as a Date Night look. Now that the weather will be getting cooler, I had to find styles that fit the season and more or less appropriate for work and or play!

For this look, I thought a good purple/plum color blazer would combine well with the Navy Miller Dress  along with cute wedge heels that match the color of the blazer. You could do a navy color handbag or in this case, a grey handbag to give some contrast! The door was just a nice touch to use as a background..and if you have this front door, I'm jealous lol. Dress up your office space with a beautiful China vase and flowers!!

Fall Fashion for the Breastfeeding Mother!
This next look was easy lol. As you can see, I basically switched out the color of the blazers to pair with the Miller dress! A navy blazer should be in your closet as a staple piece because it can match with almost anything, just like a black blazer would. The navy blazer is a beautiful contrast to the fuchsia dress and can pair great with a yellow statement necklace. The dark brown shoes and bag are also subtle but combines well with this look. I'm loving the fringe on the booties...looks like fringe detail shoes are in style this season! The butterfly is actually a brooch that can pin on the blazer as well!

Fall Look for the Breastfeeding Mother!

Fall Casual Looks

How about casual looks for the nursing mom? You are in luck! Below you will find our Nelly nursing top that will pair great with a lighter denim color, in this case I used grey! Finish the look with a cardigan and some fun fringe loafers! A great style when dropping off the kids to school and hanging out with a friend afterwards for coffee!!

Last, but certainly not least, the 4-Way Cardigan! Put on a basic white tee underneath or of course a nursing friendly tank and pair with your favorite most comfortable denim jeans you own! I love the somewhat flare look of these jeans, as the style is making a comeback! Combine a western bootie with a fun matching handbag to complete the look. Lastly a beautiful bright colored scarf, for this look a yellow/mustard-y one fit well! This look is definitely maternity friendly as well as postpartum ;-)

The Breastfeeding Mother on Vacation!

Summer for the Breastfeeding Mother

It is still the middle of Summer, and perhaps you and your family are casually hitting the beach boardwalk! Here is the perfect look that provides comfort, style and access to your nursing child! We love the nursing blue tile print maxi dress, not only does it transition from maternity but has access under the tie to breastfeed. For this look, we added some subtle pops of silver, such as the flute gladiator sandals along with a silver tote bag-perfect to hold all the snacks, sunblocks, diapers, etc you will need for your little ones! Lastly, can't go wrong with a fedora hat and a pair of sunglasses! Enjoy this look my breastfeeding mom's, hasta pronto!

Wide-Leg Trousers for the Breastfeeding Mother!

Summer Trousers

I have definitely been seeing a comeback in wide-leg trousers this summer! Which is why I thought it would be fun to combine two different looks incorporating summer and style of course!

Below we have an all black look, who doesn't love black? Combined with a black and white print wide-leg trouser. When I combined this look, I was thinking definitely a road trip for the nursing mom! (Sure, the car is small and probably won't fit your entire family, but it's still okay to dream a little right...perhaps you had a similar looking car during your college days!!) This look provides comfort, style and as always access for the breastfeeding mother with our nursing top! The pops of mustard yellow are my favorite as it invites a summer look, easily you can transition to a Fall look with a cardigan, a pair of flats...you get the idea! I also am loving the look of the platform-ish style sandals with big buckles this summer!

Our second style is a Bohemian inspired look! Same concept as above, big wide-leg print trousers along with a nursing tank! What sets this look apart is the accessories, the big floppy hat and the fringe messenger bag! Another great look for the road or even to the local park with your child(ren)! As always, this looks is also accessible for the breastfeeding mom!

The Breastfeeding Mother's Trip to the Museum!

Trip to the Museum!

Another look for our breastfeeding mom's! Taking the kiddos to a museum?! Check out the style below for tips!

Before we go into the outfit, our styles almost always have to incorporate three things: 1. Accessibility to nurse/pump 2. Be legitimately comfortable and 3. Almost always, stylish! Let's start by checking off #1: accessibility is almost always guaranteed with our selection of apparel ! With this look, we used the very comfortable Breton Stripe nursing top that will pair great with the yellow blazer jacket to give a nice pop of color. #2: Comfort can vary amongst each one of us, for some very lucky ladies, stilettos and the likes, are super comfortable while other's, prefer flats! In this look, we compromised and decided on wedge heels-the perfect balance! The jeans are really comfortable and loose and can be cropped to a "boyfriend" style look. Lastly, #3: This looks comes together when accessorized with pops of colors like our Nursing Teething Necklace  along with some funky colorful sunglasses, making this outfit completely stylish!

Another tip: You can quickly go from day to night, by changing out the pants to something more form fitting, denim or white pants and a belt, along with nude flats or heels depending on your level of comfort for the night! Until next time, Ciao!

The Breastfeeding Mother-Wedding Guest Edition!

One Dress-Two Styles

Background: I always love to hear feedback from clients, and this post was definitely inspired by one! As wedding season is approaching, I thought it would be good to incorporate a style for the nursing mom!

Styling Tips:  I am sure we have one dress, or more, that we love to wear for almost any occasion or simply around the house. Our Nursing Wrap Dress can definitely be dressed up or down, and in this case, dressed up for the nursing mom attending a wedding as a guest! Below is a great example of dressing up a simple dress with some "bling". Two completely different outfits when paired with either gray or gold accents! The statement necklaces are what really makes the dress stand out, and when paired with heels makes both styles appropriate for attending special occasions! I did not provide a bag, as it depends if you will be accompanied by children: either a black or tan/nude diaper bag will suffice, if not, a clutch with some unique embellishments will be fun and adds texture!

Comment and leave your feedback, would you like to see more for the BF Mother-Wedding Guest Edition?! Until next time ;-)
